Badlands National Park - another great place for scenic vistas and site of one of the craziest vacation stories ever - windows blown into my car during some freak storm.
Badlands National Park Badlands National Park is in southwestern South Dakota, and consists of buttes and prairie. It is co-administered by the Oglala Lakota tribe.
One of the coolest things about living in the west is how many amazing national parks are within driving distance. Since we saw the Painted Desert, I have been dying to see more badlands, and Badlands National Park is only about six hours away from us.
