Twilight - book to movie differences
I love this series of books & movies!!!
Don't hate on the Twilight series. This is for young adult, teens and tweens, but I really enjoyed the entire series.
Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1) [Kindle Edition], (vampire romance, twilight, kindle, young adult, romance, vampire book, book recommendations, paranormal romance, vampire, stephenie meyer)
The Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer - I don't think this one needs a comment. I dislike it for pretty much all the same reasons as everyone else who dislikes it.
Twilight is the 1st novel in the Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer. This young-adult vampire-romance novel introduces 17 year-old Isabella "Bella" Swan, who moves from Phoenix, Arizona to Forks, Washington and finds her life in danger when she falls in love with a vampire, Edward Cullen.
Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer - yes I, Luna, have read this over a billion times!

Walt Whitman - Noiseless Patient Spider is one of my favorite poems in this book.
One of the clues that Margo leaves for Q is in Walt Whitman's poem Song of Myself in his poetry collection Leaves of Grass. The only line that she highlighted was “Unscrew the locks from the doors! Unscrew the doors themselves from their jambs”.
Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass is some of the most beautiful, uplifting writing I've ever come across. Makes me think, makes me feel, makes me love, love love life. And love Whitman as well.

Now that's a great book!
I find this to be especially true of old books. Admit it, all true booklovers have picked up a good aged book, opened the pages and smelled that sucker.
There's a certain magic to books that can't be explained. The feeling of turning the page . The feeling of opening it up and feel like you're accessing a new world. The physical representation of the world as the book itself. Amazing #books #booklover #bookworm #magical #reading #readingismagical
"Kindles don't have this kind of magic." I don't believe that people who have Kindles are real book lovers. haha ;)
kindles don't have this kind of magic. Real books will always have relevance, there's nothing like the smell of an old book, or a new one for that matter. Gotta admit, I love the Kindle app for living on an island with a limited selection though. True Bibliophiles gobble up whatever they can get their hands on. Love to read an old book with history, though.
Not a big fan of the Kindle or Nook...sorry to those who have them! The smell and touch of a real book just draws me closer to the story.
It's true. My kindle is for vacationing, because it holds more books on it, but I do love the feel of real books. That will never change.

They return to the MaddAddamite cob house, newly fortified against man and giant pigoon alike. Accompanying them are the Crakers, the gentle, quasi-human species engineered by the brilliant but deceased Crake. Their reluctant prophet, Snowman-the-Jimmy, is recovering from a debilitating fever, so it’s left to Toby to preach the Craker theology, with Crake as Creator. She must also deal with cultural misunderstandings, terrible coffee, and her jealousy over her lover, Zeb. Zeb has been searching for Adam One, founder of the God’s Gardeners, the pacifist green religion from which Zeb broke years ago to lead the MaddAddamites in active resistance against the destructive CorpSeCorps. But now, under threat of a Painballer attack, the MaddAddamites must fight back with the aid of their newfound allies, some of whom have four trotters. At the center of MaddAddam is the story of Zeb’s dark and twisted past, which contains a lost brother, a hidden murder, a bear, and a bizarre act of revenge. It really is worth reading. I laughed so much.
Funny book. Reading now. 5.29.12
Confession: I am a bookworm. I also really hate commuting without something to read, so I'm constantly lugging library books around (so retro, I know). Recently, I inherited a friend's Nook and I fell in love with e-books. All my recent reads have either been reccos from my mom or books I found on my friend's Nook...and thank goodness for that. I'm usually guilty of judging a book by its cover and that leads to some interesssting finds. Here are my three favorite recent reads: Where'd You Go Bernadette by Maria Semple: this book is told through a series of correspondence from a rotating cast of characters. The way their letters, emails and texts reveal information is so clever and well-done, you never see the twists and turns coming. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green: a heartbreaking and beautiful love story told from the eyes of a 17-year-old girl with terminal cancer. Definitely not a light book, but the rollercoaster it takes you on is equal parts sad and happy. The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky: I know, I know, I'm about 15 years late on this one, but wow, it is a doozy. I've wanted to read the book forever, and then the movie came out, so I had to read it. (I refuse to see movies until I read the books they are based on.) The book so perfectly describes the pain and agony that is high school. I felt like I was right back in the thick of it...in the best way possible. Those picks are all a bit heavy (I like sad shit, guys, okay!?!?), but right now I'm reading Let’s Pretend This Never Happened (A Mostly True Memoir) by Jenny Lawson aka the Bloggess. Let me tell you: this is the funniest book I've read in a long time. I've burst out laughing so hard that fellow subway riders/cab drivers/strangers on the street have openly stared at me. Girl is a comedic/literary genius. Next on my to-read list is a re-read of The Great Gatsby. I want to fully soak up the magic of F. Scott Fitzgerald's words before I see the movie. The book starts with the greatest opening lines: "In my younger and more vulnerable years, my father gave me some advice that I've been turning over in my mind ever since. 'Whenever you feel like criticizing any one,' he told me, 'just remember that all the people in the world haven't had the advantages that you've had." Gosh, I love that. Can't wait to dive in again. What are you reading this week?
