Ardennes Forest cars, Belgium - These abandoned cars once vbelonged to American service men. After the war, they were responsible for shipping their vehicles back. Many of them couldn't afford to so the cars were brought to a clearing in the forest, parked and left there. At first made me think "the walking dead".....

In the woods outside Chatillon, Belgium there are hundreds of old, rusting cars left behind by American soldiers from World War II. If a soldier wanted to bring his car back to the U.S., it was up to him to pay for it, so they didn’t. Instead, each car was driven up a hill and parked in the trees. More than 500 cars went to 4 different “grave yards.”

Zombies were here. Or maybe just humans, maybe they suddenly decided to shuffle off and leave their cars behind. While these images of stately automobiles, kissing bumpers in a Belgian forest are certainly haunting, the story behind them remains rather murky. According to an urban legend these cars were left behind by US soldiers from World War II, who could not ship them back to the US so they decided to hide them in a forest until they could come back and retrieve them.

Unbelievable....Austria's Green Lake in the Hochschwab Mountains is a hiking trail in the winter. The snow melts in early summer and creates a completely clear lake. The lake has a grassy bottom, complete with underwater trails, park benches, and bridges. So cool!
