The little known .45 Luger. Designed for the US military pistol trials of 1911 by George Luger. Pistols were actually issue to troops in the field with specific equipment & support. It performed very well, but lost out to a pistol manufactured in the U.S.A. by Colt Firearms Co. of Hartford, CT.
