This means that if you increase your muscle mass, you will expend more energy throughout your typical day, without engaging in any additional exercise. So if you frequently engage in strength training exercises and gain additional muscle mass? Yes, your body will be burning more calories than it previously did. But that is not a reflection of these particular exercises - That is a reflection of your body’s composition. It does not mean that this short list will inherently require more energy.
