While we appreciate vivid new paint jobs and interesting stencils, it is always exciting to see fresh ideas for rescuing and refurbishing old furniture. This project covers up old drawer fronts with a material we don't often see used in this situation--aluminum. And it's not the material itself that makes this dresser so unique, it's where the material is sourced: street signs.
Hmmm....I don't really know where to put this. Maybe I should make a pinboard for strange coincidences? Matt and I have decided to name our son Calder (a name you probably haven't heard much, right?). Then when I was looking at apartment therapy today I saw a little thumnail of this rug and thought it was a nice pattern (reminds me of traditional Japanese embroidery). Turns out it is the "Calder" rug from Pottery Barn. Strange.
