9 to 5, 1980. I need to think more about whether to put this movie on the 1970s board or create a 1980s one (with Working Girl, etc.) I love this movie. I loved watching it as a kid. I loved teaching it in my pop culture feminism class a few years ago.
Revolutionary Road - 2008 "April Wheeler: Tell me the truth, Frank, remember that? We used to live by it. And you know what's so good about the truth? Everyone knows what it is however long they've lived without it. No one forgets the truth, Frank, they just get better at lying."
I watched this movie last night. Good movie...sad to think though that the police who we are supposed to trust and think that they should help us in times of need would pull this kind of thing...but there is corruption everywhere....says tons about the world we live in.
Seven Pounds - 2008 "Ben Thomas: The first time I ever saw a box jellyfish, I was twelve. Our father took us to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I never forgot what he said... That it was the most deadly creature on earth. To me it was just the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen."
