Soon after September 11, 2001, this photo of a tourist posing for a snapshot on top of the World Trade Center as a hijacked plane approached from behind hit the Internet. An accompanying caption explained that the photo came from a camera found in the rubble of the world trade center. This photo is totally fake.

Letter to September 11 2001

9/11 - Whenever I start feeling sorry for myself or fretting over some silly decision, I honestly hope this very photo will pop into my head. There is nothing more tragic and no harder decision to make than whether to burn to death or leap to my death from so many stories up.

This ad was created for the 10 year anniversary of 9/11. It’s a very strong image, but something that I felt was, from a advertising perspective, very appropriate & tasteful. Such a beautiful image, and on this milestone anniversary, we all should be thankful and in full remembrance.
