Tuesdays with Morrie: An Old Man, a Young Man, and Life's Greatest Lesson [Mitch Albom has this great way of writing about life lessons. One of my favorite books!

50 Years On, 'Mockingbird' Still Sings America's Song

Flowers in the Attic. Incest...lots of incest. One if the mist messed up yet beautifully written novels. I would recommend....yet advise caution.

Flowers in the Attic by V. C. Andrews (1980, Hardcover)

Favorite of all time.VC Andrews Flowers In The Attic, a super twisted and sick story of an evil mother/grandmother who forces her 4 children to live in The Attic! First time I ever heard about incest.

The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest (book3) By Stieg Larsson

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (Millennium Trilogy Series by Stieg Larsson

Amy Tan is best known for her novel "The Joy Luck Club", which I also read and enjoyed. The Hundred Secret Senses has, for me, a better sense of humor which makes the story move more swiftly.

The first Amy Tan novel I read was The Kitchen God's Wife, which made me cry and examine my own familial relationships.this book is one better.

Girl with a Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier

Girl with a Pearl Earring, by Tracy Chevalier This is a completely absorbing story about the Dutch artist Vermeer in the century. It has enough historical authenticity and artistic intuition to mark Tracy Chevalier as a very talented writer.
