2 Anchovies, oil-packed


2 Beefsteak tomatoes, large ripe
7 cloves Garlic
1 Lemon, Zest and juice of


1 Egg yolk, large


1/4 tsp Honey

Baking & Spices

1 One 1/4-ounce packet Active dry yeast
3 3/4 cups All-purpose flour
1 Black pepper, Freshly ground
1 Kosher salt
1 Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp Sugar

Oils & Vinegars

1 cup Olive oil, extra-virgin


1 Hunk of parmesan
3/4 cup Parmesan


1 1/3 cups Water

Smoky Kale Caesar Salad - shutterbean - To make the dressing, mix the vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, anchovies, chili powder, and smoked paprika in a small bowl (or wide mouthed jar). Add olive oil and the egg yolk and mix the dressing with an immersion blender until well incorporated. Toss in 1/4 cup of the Parmesan cheese and add salt & pepper to taste. It’s best to dip a kale leaf in the dressing to figure out if you need to add more acid or seasoning.

Salmon Caesar Salad- Yummy and doesn't contain any raw egg. I skipped the lemon zest part. A bit garlicky. Didn't realize making croutons was so easy. Probably not buying them anymore. - EC

These are made using wonton wrappers as the cups. They bake crispy and golden with just a light spray of oil. A great shortcut for appetizers!
