Homemade Soft Pretzels

2 hrs to make • Makes 8 pretzels

Refrigerated

1 Egg yolk beaten with, large

Baking & Spices

4 1/2 cups 22 ounces all-purpose flour
1 package Active dry yeast
2/3 cup Baking soda
2 tsp Kosher salt
1 Pretzel salt
1 tbsp Sugar

Oils & Vinegars

1 Vegetable oil

Dairy

2 oz Butter, unsalted

Liquids

10 cups Water

Other

1 1/2 cups Warm (110 to 115 degrees f) water

Homemade soft pretzels! They were very good and super easy, once you get the hang of it. I may add cheese to the dough next time, or some fresh rosemary. Meghan Murray, were they worth the excursion?? :D
