My take on Pizza Inn's chocolate chip pizza! I first made this following the original recipe found on Pinterest. However, this time around I tweaked the recipe a little to make the pizza thicker and sweeter. Success! 1. Roll out a THIN Pillsbury pizza crust onto a pizza pan. 2. Melt two sticks of butter (1 cup). 3. Mix an entire box of Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker yellow cake mix into the melted butter. 4. Spread this mixture onto the pizza crust. I spread mine almost all the way to the edge, leaving a little room for the cake mix to swell and spread. 5. Sprinkle with semisweet chocolate chips. 6. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes. This version is much closer to the "real thing" than the recipe using Jiffy cake mix. Scrumptious!
This is a must try because all you really have to lose is a can of cake mix, sprite, and 5 minutes prep time. You need:b 1 package white cake mix 8 oz. sprite 2 // 16 oz. bags of frozen fruit of your choice. (I used blackberries and raspberries.) You do: Layer frozen fruit on the bottom of a 9×13 pan. Sprinkle cake mix on top until covered. Pour sprite over cake mix. Put in oven for 45-50 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool 15-20 minutes after… serve with vanilla ice cream!
