Boards - $5.50 at HomeDepot. Just stain and then screw into the wall.

we went to Lowe's and purchased about 4 sheets of the 4x8 paint-ready utility plywood and had Lowe's cut them into 6 inch strips, length wise. We paid about $3.00 extra to have all the cuts made for us but it was WELL worth it! After we brought them home we quickly sanded down the edges where there were any splinters or rough spots from the cuts. - See more at: Walls Tutorial

Gorgeous headboard! Four 1X6 boards, a sanding block, and a can of stain. Hang with large 3M strips (up to 16lbs and these are just over 5lbs each).

This bed is pure brilliance! I love how the wood planks march up the walls to form the headboard, and then up across the ceiling. This delineates the space in such a cool way, and is a great contrast to the white walls. I love those sconces with plants on the headboard. I can also envision a Moroccan lantern hanging from the planks on the ceiling.

Just add a headboard made from pre cut and stained boards screwed onto the wall.

Absolutely love
