foundation row of buttonhole with floral motifs worked fern stitch and 5 French knots, or beads worked diagonally in one direction. Alternating these placed on the lower line of the buttonhole pointing in the other direction are 5 straight stitches arranged in a ray with French knots, sequins or a bead placed at the center.
