Master Bedroom : Adam Lippes' Eclectic New York Apartment

A corner of the bedroom showcases a Pieter Schoolwerth painting above a 1960s Knoll credenza; the Plexiglas sculpture is by Louise Nevelson, the circa-1900 desk and chair are both by Thonet, and the walls are painted in a Farrow & Ball blue.

Adam Lippes grouped a custom-made sofa and armchair with a 1960s Paul McCobb cocktail table and a pair of antique Swedish chairs in the living room, which also features nesting tables from Bernd Goeckler Antiques, an 1840s Comtoise clock, and a vintage Turkish carpet. The artworks on the mantel are by Robert Motherwell (left) and Milton Avery, and the Japanese screen is 19th century.

Onyx walls with elements from nature (glass patio door, found wood coffee table base, and pink flower branches) and old school styling (aged oriental rug, mid-century modern arm chair). Fresh, classic, and beautifully pulled together.
