KCPD Detectives run 5K in bomb suits Members of KCPD's Bomb and Arson Section and other officers participated in the grueling Inaugural Mo/Kan Bomb Suit 5K Run on May 5. Many participants ran the race in 80-pound bomb suits. The run raised money for the Wounded Warrior Project and Bomb Tech Memorial Fund. KCPD Det Lowell Lacy of Bomb and Arson was the overall race winner. Sergeant Russ Dykstra of South Patrol Division and P.O. Tyrone Phillips of Metrol Patrol Division aldo medaled.

The Wild Boar of Florence was first cast in bronze in 1857 by Italian artist Benelli. This larger than life bronze boar sitting on the forest floor surrounded by turtles, snails, frogs and bugs is one of two early reproductions by Marinelli Studios of Florence.
