Some of you think the book is better than the movie. Others say the movie is better than the book. I say: you've got to experience both.

Some curiosities about The Princess Bride…

Princess Bride = Inconceivably Awesome. I do not think that word means, what you think it means. Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die. He's only mostly dead! I'm not a witch I'm your wife. CLASSIC

The Princess Bride Although the grandson in this 1987 film (played by Fred Savage) felt the story featured entirely too much mushy love stuff, Buttercup (Robin Wright) and Westley (Cary Elwes) are still adorable to watch. Our favorite moment? The post-tumble nuzzle they shared when Buttercup learned that her Westley wasn't dead after all.

Fezzik, Inigo Montoya, Vizzini - André the Giant, Mandy Patinkin, Wallace Shawn in The Princess Bride

André the Giant as Fezzik Mandy Patinkin as Inigo Montoya Wallace Shawn as Vizzini from "The Princess Bride"

Princess Bride - "When I was your age, television was called books." (Grandfather)

Love this part. I was told that when Buttercup and Wesley had to fall down the hill it was stunt guys that did it for them....

I seriously think I have seen this movie 200 times. I remember a few occasions when my sisters and I watched this movie *twice* a day...
