I'm no hippie, but i definitely understand the environmental devastation caused by plastic shopping bags. Utilize reusable totes when possible, save any plastic bags for reuse. i even safe them to wrap breakable items when moving. just please don't throw them away or near the ocean. Living in Hawaii, I see at least one plastic bag in the ocean every time I go out. There are so many endangered animals in the ocean and plastic is LETHAL to all marine life.

It works! - Over time, towels build up detergent and fabric softener, leaving them unable to absorb as much water and smelly. Recharge them by washing them once with hot water and 1cup vinegar, then a 2nd time with hot water and half cup baking soda. This strips the residue and leaves them fresh and able to absorb more water again. Works like a charm!" - pinner

When a natural disaster or other emergency strikes, be prepared to have plenty of fresh drinking water on hand with the water BOB.
