    German engineer Karl Schlör (1911-1997) with his aerodynamic "Göttinger Ei", Schlör Wagen Pillbug (1939). An aluminium body encapsulated wheels on a Mercedes 170H chassis. Intended as a spacious family car with minimum fuel consumption, its Cd (drag coefficient) of 0.186 was exceptionally low.
