love this- who cares if you don't have a bay window, make a window seat anyways! I could add these built ins in my upstairs playroom

love this- who cares if you don't have a bay window, make a window seat anyway! This one looks nice enough to be in a living room, etc... But I think it would be fun to do this idea in a play room - a fun spot to read books, and a nice added feature that doesn't look so childish :)

color on textiles with neutral base - - - i wonder if we could pull off curtains like that in our living room ??

Cozy window nook-great for reading! I've seen the pins with closet reading nooks, which are great, but I just love reading in natural light. Maybe it's because it helps me stay awake :) but also it just puts me in a good mood.

Hallway. I think I just love window seats. La Dolce Vita: Dream Home: designstlLes is hilarious.

Country kitchen. Fresh food, butcher block island, window seat, sunny.... Can't beat that.

Round windows would make good window seats because you'd have something to lean against....plus, it's just really cool!

Comfy cushion! Will have to nix the chandelier though....

Window seating. I'm feeling creative today. I'm thinking this would be great if the window seat, rather than being a closed box type of bench seat with books piled in front of it, was the bookcase with open shelving for books and magazines. I've seen a few with bins under for storage but why not for display. Unless you have toddlers. Or pets who tear things up.

Beautiful! Love the color of the walls. Similar to Pale Beach. Time to repaint the house!
