Making "fake" cover art for existing books can be a fun project for an art, design or photography class. First, the students make a list of some key words for the book (thriller? romance? mystery?) and also consider who the intended reader is (young? fashionable? casual reader or bookworm?). Second, well, create it! Would work as either a group or solo project.
