1/4 cup Bacon fat
1 lb Sausage, smoked


1 lb Shrimp


2 Bay leaves
2 1/2 stalk Celery
2 Chiles
2 clove Garlic
2 can Plum tomatoes, organic
3/4 tsp Thyme, dried
1 Yellow onion, small

Canned Goods

2 cup Chicken stock

Pasta & Grains

2 cup Carolina gold* or basmati rice

Baking & Spices

1 Kosher salt
1 tsp Pepper, freshly ground

Oils & Vinegars

2 tbsp Hot pepper vinegar, homemade

Savannah Red Rice with Shrimp and Smoked Sausage Recipe! My friend made this last night without chiles, substituted the fat from cooking sausage for the bacon fat and had to use a LOT more chicken broth! No leftovers!
