The Help, by Kathryn Stockett. I think there's been enough raving about this best-seller that was recently made into a movie. It's a long book, but that's part of what I love about it. The other part is the blend of humor, drama, and mild suspense that keeps you hungering for more. Very well written. Highly recommend, even if you've already seen the movie.
I read this book in class and had thought that it would be another boaring book for AP English. I had heard of it before and thought that might pick it up eventually. I did not realise it would be such a good book. I learned more about english in this one book than I did in any other.
