      Plum crumble. I followed this exactly except for the candied ginger. It has a bitter taste to me; I suspect the baking powder. I'm not sure that it is really needed in this recipe; I may try it again and leave off the baking powder and see what happens. I don't like baking powder biscuits for the same reason, a bitter taste.
