DIY Vine Teepee by viewsfromthegarden If you made it large enough, you could protect lettuce underneath - I like this for the condo garden, where we can't have anything growing on the fences. A way to have clematis & other good vines such as glory vine, morning glory and cardinal vines. Doing it!!
We're going to do something very similar to this in between our raised beds to grow pea plants on this summer. It will be like a living tunnel for the kids to play in.
Gotta try this! When a cucumber is taken from the vine, cut it with a knife, leaving about an eighth of an inch of the cucumber on the stem, then slit the stem with the knife from its end to the vine leaving a small portion of the cucumber on each half of the stem. On each separate slip there will grow a new cucumber as large as the first.
