    IXL Math... An online math practice resource. I am going to try their 30 day free trial. I like that students can do any grade level. I am hoping i can build up missing skills in lower math students and challenge my fifth grade math whizzes with middle and high school work. I will let you know how I like it!

This lesson teaches students how to make symmetrical designs and how to distinguish between vertical symmetry, horizontal symmetry, and rotational symmetry.

I think I'll do this except with three cards only and they have to find the smallest number, largest number, and write a number sentence and solve.

number of the day - Hugely successful as a 1 page flipchart that students complete in the morning. Changed the area where it says "Write the number a different Way" to 2 sections for rounding to the nearest ten and then rounding to the nearest hundred.
