Kid craft: Salt painting. Sooo cool. Make a design on paper with Elmer's glue, sprinkle salt on (be generous), shake the extra salt off. Dip brush into water colors (or food coloring + water) and touch with a drop of color to an area of glue and watch it spread!

Raised salt painting :: Squeeze a design onto the board with white glue. Simple shapes seem to work best. Once the design is complete, shake table salt over the entire piece. Use a lot of salt, make sure salt covers all sides of the glue. Tap off the excess salt into a tray, to use again. Now Gently touch the tip of your wet paint brush to the salt. Kids are amazed to watch the watercolor spread up the salt. Try not to โ€œdisturbโ€ the glue by dragging your paint brush.
