    Jack Johnson is one of my favorite athletes. He became heavy-weight champion almost 4 decades before Jackie Robinson entered the major leagues. Even better, he was totally brash and did what he wanted- dating white women, crashing cars, and generally horrifying the white public. Jack Johnson, a reminder that one doesn't always have to tip toe across social boundaries.
