telephone booth - I can't remember the last time I saw a phone booth... a thing of the past... no cell phones then....
Phone booth - almost extinct now. It's darn hard to find a pay phone now in this age of everyone having a cell phone.
Phone booths in the 1960's... and all you needed was a nickel and then they raised it to a dime! Bell System installed its millionth pay telephone. by 1998 there were 2.6 million. 2015 probably none that are working due to cell phones.
Remember these? Way before cell phones you had to look for a phone booth to make a quick call!
Phone booth. Used to be one near school. Yes, kids this is what you used before cell phones.
I dont remember the last time I saw a pay phone let alone an actual phone booth

Jell-O Whip 'n Chill --- I loved the chocolate. Also that gelatin stuff 1-2-3 was 3 layers in one product
Whip 'n chill- loved this stuff! My mom made this for dessert often, especially the strawberry flavored!
Whip n Chill - this was the dessert that I would serve my husband when we were first married and he would have to fight with our cat about where the spoonful would go - she would sit on his shoulder and reach a paw out to guide it to her - LOL
Whip 'n chill- loved this stuff! I wish they still sold it. My Mom would buy vanilla and chocolate and layer them in a wine glass with a cherry on top.
The lemon was my favorite! The Vermont Country Store sold the strawberry and chocolate Whip 'n Chills until just a few yrs ago. This was popular about the same time as the jello that made 3 layers! :)
Classic 1967 Commercial Break: Whip 'n' Chill Chocolate Dessert (1967)http://www.archive.org/details/Yummy_Yummy_Yummy
Whip 'n Chill: In 1971 packaged prepared pudding called Jell-O Pudding Treats were introduced. During this same period, 1-2-3 Jell-O, a gelatin dessert that separated into three layers as it cooled, was unveiled. Until 1987, 1-2-3 Jell-O could readily be found in grocery stores throughout most of the United States, but the dessert is now extremely rare. Jell-O Whip 'n Chill, a mousse-style dessert, was also introduced and widely promoted; it also remains available only in limited areas today.

Potholders made with a loom. All the women in my family got them for Christmas. Started this craft at like age 6 and that's where my crafting addiction began!
Love the way that looks. Never thought to use fabric for potholders in that way, though I've made a rug using fabric strips. -- Pia (handmade pot holders)

1951 washer About 1955, my mother had a washing machine very much like this one. She'd pull it up to the kitchen sink and hook it up(to the water supply I suppose...lol) and do the washing for her family of 5. I'm sure she felt priviledged and "modern," because she didn't have to walk a mile to tote water to the house as had been the case just a few years previous.@Melissa Squires Nelson

My Grandmother used one of these. It was in her basement, she carried their laundry up and down those old stairs. She didn't have a dryer so everything had to be taken wet up the stairs and out in the backyard to be hung to dry. In the Winter months it was terribly cold in Southern Indiana and she strung a clothes line in the basement and hung them. It took years to convince her to get an automatic washer upstairs, but once she did she loved it! 1951 Speed Queen Washer
