Homemade refrigerator dill pickles 1 quart jar with a metal (or plastic) lid 3 pickling cucumbers 5 sprigs of fresh dill 2-4 cloves of garlic crushed and minced (or scapes) – do to taste, we use 4 3 Tbsp white vinegar 1/2 – 1 Tbsp kosher salt to taste (I use 3/4 Tbsp) distilled or spring water (enough to top off jar)

Pickling pickles What You Need: 3 clean pint jars (or whatever glass jars you have around) 9 cloves of garlic, crushed 3 lbs of cucumbers 3 cinnamon sticks 3 bay leaves 3 Tbs yellow mustard seeds 3 Tbs brown mustard seeds 6 Tbs dill seeds 3 Tbs black peppercorns 6 tsp kosher salt 1 1/2 to 2 1/4 cups distilled white vinegar
Best Dill Pickles EVER (Just like Clausen) (Easy - No Canning!) Ingredient list: * 1 gallon cucumbers * 1/3 cup dried minced onion * 6 garlic cloves, peeled, and chopped small * 1/2 tablespoon mustard seeds * 6 heads fresh dill * 1 1/2 quarts water * 2 cups cider vinegar * 1/2 cup canning salt (do NOT use regular salt - use CANNING SALT)
I actually prefer the spears, but couldn't find a good pic of those. When I run out of these (within 2 days of buying them), I cut up a cucumber and toss it in the leftover brine. Within a few days I have a fresh supply of equally delicious pickles... but I only brine-recycle ONCE.
