    How to clean: stove vent filter! Haul out your biggest pot, fill it with water and bring it to a boil. Add 1/2 cup of BAKING SODA (VERY SLOWLY!) Submerge filter in pot. Boil till grease is off. Rinse under hot water.

This really works, amazing! My mother tried it with success and then told me, so I tried it too! :-) Great way to clean Oven Top Filters-- Boil a big pot of water, add a half cup of baking soda (but only one tablespoon at a time - it fizzes). Drop the filter in and watch the grease slide off. Rinse, repeat if desired (I scrubbed gently in some spots).
