Mahler Chamber Orchestra

Campaign identity for contemporary orchestra Mahler Chamber Orchestra. The typographic structures and two colour palette became the backbone for the touring artwork.

Interesting conceptual use of typography. Set vertically with red highlight and placed over the person's eye, it functions pictographically as dripping blood, with the white highlighted text as a needle. Art-historically, it visually relates to El Lissitzky's "Beat the Whites with the Red Wedge".

Designer: unknown | #advertising | The design was posted on pinterest from inspirationde.com. | I find this design so clever because the word "jam" is actually created from arranging the letter "j" and "m" close together and then placing the "a" inside the "j" and "m." The design is concise, clear, and legible.

Jam

The Jam at Clouds disco, 1977 - awesome design admired by Secret Art Collector - music wasn't bad either!
