Retrace the steps of Christ after his arrest in the Garden of Gethsemene and through the Kidron Valley

The Steps to the Garden of Gethsemane - Jesus descended these steps on his way from Jerusalem to the Garden of Gethsemane. It was in Gethsemane that Jesus spent his last hours in prayer before his trial and crucifixion. In the Garden, there are still olive trees that are 2000 years old (old enough to have been alive at the time of Christ)! Jesus also ascended these stairs on his way to Caiphas' house for the first part of his trial. This photograph was taken from the area of Caiphas' house.

The currently peaceful Valley of Armageddon as seen from Mount Carmel

The currently peaceful Valley of Armageddon as seen from Mount Carmel. One day a battle will take place here where Israel's foes will be defeated once and for all.

These steps go up from the Kidron Valley toward the area of Jerusalem where the Upper Room was. Jesus and his disciples would have probably used these steps.

Mount Tabor, halfway between #Nazareth and the Sea-of-Galilee, is, according to one ancient Christian tradition, the site of the Transfiguration of Christ, during which Jesus began to radiate light and was seen conversing with Moses and Elijah.
