Unopened can of condensed milk + 8 hours on low (completely submerged in water) in the crock pot + cool down in the fridge = Caramel! This is the best cararmel I've ever had, let alone made! It's so easy!
Caramel in Crockpot: One un-opened can of sweetened condensed milk. Take the paper off. Place the unopened can in a crock-pot. Completely submerge tin water. Cook on the 'low' setting for 8 hours (lid on). Take the can out. Keep unopened. Dry it off & let cool down in the fridge for at least 2 hours before opening. Cooling the can is the key. You will have delicious caramel to dip apples in, drizzle on desserts... Enjoy !
