Douglas AD-4 Skyraider. A bit of latecomer to the Warbird category, the carrier based Skyraider went into full production only in 1947, and proved its worth in the skies over Korea.

Douglas AD-1J Skyraider, or "Spad" as they were casually known. The spad served as a stable tactical bombing platform through Korea and Vietnam. This aircraft caries the markings of VA- 176, part of Carrier Air Group 14 in 1966.

Some of the carrier's F4U "Corsair" fighters and AD "Skyraider" attack planes rendezvous off the North Korean coast. Photo is dated 15 August 1951. The F4U in the foreground is from squadron VF-791. ADs are from squadron VA-702.
