Astoundingly, for most of our history America’s nickname for Pit Bulls was “The Nanny Dog”. For generations if you had children and wanted to keep them safe you wanted a pit bull, the dog that was the most reliable of any breed with children or adults.

just a friendly reminder that for over a hundred years, pit bulls used to be referred to as “the nanny dog” and their main job was as babysitters.

love pit bulls -- damn straight!!! If you can't take care of the animals you bring into your home, then find them a better home! Pits are so loving and are great with kids. It's the poor babies that are made to fight and be mean that cause a bad reputation, but they didn't ask for that. they didn't choose to be that way! Raise your animals responsibly.
