      microwave Ivory soap (must be Ivory) for 1-2 minutes on parchment paper and it turns into this soap cloud. Cool. Then you can smash it up in a bowl and add food coloring and shape it into little soaps with cookie cutters. Cute idea!

      My youngest did this as a homework science experiment in kindergarten. It was pretty neat - another pinner said - this is totally genius. And not just for kids! This is what happens when you microwave a bar of Ivory soap! Then you can tear it up, color it, and mold it into shapes! Its not wet and messy, either! This is awesome!

      FAIL!!! Besides the fact that the smell of microwaved Ivory soap gave us all headaches, I found that this idea was completely useless and a waste of time/$. IMO ...this is totally genius.     Ivory soap - You may recall that Ivory soap floats in water. The reason for that is that unlike other soap, it has a a bunch of air whipped into it. This is important because when you microwave it, all those tiny air bubbles expand and make your soap look like this

    Soap Clouds 1 bar of IVORY soap. MUST BE IVORY! Put in the microwave for 2 minutes. After 20 seconds it starts to change.
