Anonyme (1940) This room fan reflects the transition from Art Deco to a new style that would eventually be cited as Mid Century Design. As the world went to war styles changed due to the changes in living. Mid Century really took off in the optimism and sense of renewal that the post war era brought.

When I was a kid, feed, flour and sugar came in sacks made of fabric, which mother reused to make my dresses. It was a big deal to pick out the sack you wanted for a dress when daddy bought feed.
