I thought that this image also might be an interesting abstract on Gestalt....this is a photo collage by George Chamoun, of Natalie Portman and Audrey Hepburn. We can see multiple principles of "good" Gestalt- similarity, continuity, etc. Through similarity of pose, and continuity and closure in the profile, these faces of completely different women meld together seamlessly to create one whole image of a composite woman.

Iconatomy: A Merging of Old and New Stars - Jewelry arts student George Chamon has perfectly merged photos of such silver screen greats as Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant with their modern day doppelgängers. The classic amoeba shaped layers between the two iconic stars match seamlessly with the retro look of the portraits. (Audrey Hepburn/Natalie Portman)
