1930's Covered Bluebird Cheese Butter Dish by Thompson.

My Grandma Pounders had these dishes . . . the blogger who shared this photo listed it as Homer Laughlin china and says that . . . "Someone once told me that dishes in this pattern were grocery store premiums back in the 40's and 50's. You received a dish each time you spent a certain amount of money or bought certain products."

Set of 6 Vintage Plates

I think mismatched dishes are so darling to use...lovely and adds great colors and patterns to your table.

I have a set of my great grandmother's dishes just like the plate on the wall in this pic. The china pattern is called "hazel".

Adorable little blue bird plate <> I know the song that the bluebird is singing, Out in the apple-tree where he is swinging; Brave little fellow, the skies may look dreary; Nothing cares he while his heart is so cheery. Hark! how the music leaps out from his throat, Hark! was there ever so merry a note? Listen awhile and you’ll hear what he’s saying, Up in the apple-tree swinging and swaying...' ~Emily H. Miller, from 'The Bluebird' (bird, decor, motif)
