Burt Lancaster--never one of my favorites until I got older. Now I realize how talented and dedicated he was to the craft, and I appreciate him more. I think I disliked some of his roles, like "Elmer Gantry" and formed an uneducated opinion.      The preceding were not my words. In Sintra , Portugal I stayed in a pousada, a baronial estate that he wrote about glowingly in the guest journal.
