"Layer cheap plastic beads in cake pans (no lining required), melt at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Let cool & then flip them out. Drill a hole in it to make it a suncatcher." I did this and it totally works. Use pony beads!

simple! layer cheap plastic beads in cake pans (no lining required), melt at 400 for 20 minutes. Let cool & then just flip them out. Drill a hole in it to make it a suncatcher. (I think I can modify this and melt beads in a muffin tin to make it classroom friendly).

Melted Bead Suncatcher. Arrange single layer of transluscent pony beads in muffin tins or cake pan. Bake in oven at 400 for 25-30min (open all windows) or bake outside in grill or toaster oven.

Melty beads in a 400 degree oven for 5 minutes come out as cute flat beads. What a fun idea!
