    The "Stop and Jot" strategy further enhances reading comprehension for students as they can get inside a character's mind to figure out what the character is thinking to become better readers. Students can also expand upon this strategy and compare and contrast major characters. Beside the "W" post-it, questions such as why, how enables deep, intellectual thinking about the story.
