The Brooklyn Museum's Director, Arnold Lehman, was the first occupant of a "connections" desk in the Museum's exhibit "Connecting Cultures: A World In Brooklyn." The desk is designed to give visitors a human connection to the museum.     I think this is great because of the idea of the desk--people might be afraid to just walk up to someone standing around, but the desk gives a sense that here's someone official.
