The latest in the Song of Fire and Ice series, it came out last year. It clocks in at over 1000 pages but it honestly isn't long enough. Threads are resolved, even more are introduced, favorite characters are put into impossible situations...and then the book ends. George RR Martin is already working on the next one but there is no time frame for a release date.
Kim Harrison's Dead Witch Walking was released in April 2004 as a mass market. This is the only U.S. cover to have a real painting as its source. I feel lucky to have had the chance to be a part of what feels like a fading tradition, industry-wise.
Last year I started reading the series "A Song of Fire and Ice" the first book is called, Game of Thrones and is now on HBO as a series. The story is a long on and continues it's pace here. I had to put this one down for a bit but was glad when I came back to it. It's a great fantasy story and one of my all time favorites.
At Thornfield Hall, resolute and independent Jane Eyre finds fulfillment in her duties as governess, and the love of her life in her employer Edward Rochester. But when a dark secret from Rochester's past comes to light, Jane must make the most difficult decision of her life: to stay beside the man she loves regardless of the truth, or to embark upon a new life free of the encumbrances of the past.
We worry about game systems, electronic devices, injections in our lips, spray tans, liposuction, import all kinds of veggies and fruits out of season, and then wonder why people in third world countries who are not sure where their next meal is coming from don't really like us. Read the hunger games. A strong female arche type doing her best to protect her family.
The Lords of the Underworld Novels --This is one of my favorite series! Sexy and Sultry. Each book tells the tale of a warrior battling and coping with his own demon and learning to find love. A battle we all can relate to in one form, fashion or other~
Such a simple fable but it is laden full of life messages. There's certainly plenty to discuss for a book club, yet it is a short and easy read. Fathom out together whether you have truly understood Paulo Coelho's hidden messages
