It has many 100 year old buildings that survived the 1900 storm, so it's an interesting place to visit, especially if you like history. Plus the Elissa is docked there, the official tall ship of Texas that was built in 1877.
The Bishop’s Palace in Galveston, Texas Toured the castles and old houses and churches in downtown Galveston one day on vacation with the girls when it was raining. They were very beautiful. We always visited the beaches, never knew there was so much more to Galveston. Great times.
