My mom had a tv like this. She bought it when she was 17 and moved away from home. She saved up for months to buy it - she had hardly any furniture in her apartment, but she had her little black white tv. And no lie - that thing still works! I swear!

My parents offered to give me the old television from my nana and papa's house. It was the one thing they brought with them from England in the late 50s. I want to put it in the living room and put the flat screen in the basement with the Trinitrons.

We enjoyed our Disney channel, our sports channels, but a lot of criminal shows, Our ideals of beauty were the commercials we saw, the way female actresses were portrayed, etc.

Old Television I had this same TV. I remember being maybe twelve before we got our first color TV.

TV sets - Black and white with no remotes. You were tickled to get more than one channel that you didn't mind getting up to change it. Of course the parents always had the kids do the changing of the channel. LOL
