    Baked marbles! Bake on cookie sheet at 325- 350 for 20 mins. Take out of oven and immediately immerse in ice water (use metal bowl or pan). Marbles will shatter inside. Can be done with those glass stones used for floral arrangements also.

We tried this but I dont think 20 minutes was long enough for the marbles to get hot, I would do longer.

Bake marbles at 325-350 degrees for 20 minutes (for more cracking-look, bake at 500 degrees for 30 minutes). Remove and carefully drop into pan with ice and water. Glue end caps to finished marble (w/starter rings) to create bracelets, earrings, pendants, ornaments...(unique and great gift idea)

Bake marbles at 300 for 20 minutes, then immediately drop into a bowl of ice water. The insides crack, making them look like gems!

Love this! Take any translucent marbles you can find in the floral section of a craft store, bake them at 325-350 for around 20 min., then pull them out of the oven and immediately submerge them into a metal bowl of ice water. The shock causes them to crack, resulting in this beautiful gemstone-like apperance. :)
