Very cool tip! Bake cake layers the night before...leave on counter to cool with a slice of bread on top. The bread becomes hard as a rock, but the cake layers remain moist and perfect. Use this same trick with muffins, cupcakes, anything that you want to leave on the counter.
Smart Idea: Make large batches of soup then freeze in silicone muffin molds. Pop 'em out and freeze. Just reheat 2-3 pucks in a mug for a quick dinner. Perfect for the upcoming fall/winter season! BRILLIANT!!!
I've had one for two years and nothing works as well. Mine was made from 2 cups of DAWN and 1 cup of rubbing alcohol. I used the good ziplock bags- one inside on another with one zipper side down inside the other with the zip on top. Loosely wrap in a thin dishtowel or into a old pillow case. Mine started leaking after about a year so I just poured it into new bags. It freezes nearly solid but becomes maleable quickly. Don't use on bare skin without a cover- they are really, really…
"I tell all my patients this at physical therapy! Homemade Ice packs: 1 part rubbing alcohol to 3 parts water, gets really cold, but never hardens so you can manipulate it. every athlete (or mom) should pin this!"
