      Baked Apples with Oatmeal Streusel Topping - *1/4 cup melted butter *1/2 cup oats *1/2 cup flour *1/2 cup brown sugar *1 tsp cinnamon *pinch of ground ginger *pinch of salt - Fill and top apple halves with the mixture.     2 sliced apples, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon in the bottom of the crock pot. Pour 2 cups of oatmeal and 4 cups of water on top. Do NOT stir. Cook overnight for 8 - 9 hours on low.

    Ingredients: 6 apples, peeled and sliced thin 1/4 cup honey 2 tsp cinnamon 3 Tbsp honey 1/4 cup canola oil (or other fat) 1 cup oats 1/4 cup whole grain flour 2 tsp cinnamon Directions: Preheat oven to 350F. Combine filling ingredients and spread over the bottom of an ungreased 8x8 pan. In another bowl, combine topping ingredients. Sprinkle over the fruit. Bake for 35-40 minutes. The top will be slightly browned. The topping with crisp up more the longer it cools.
